I certify that I will administer the Piano Technicians Guild Written Examination fairly, consistently, and without bias.
I will provide all required materials, forms, and instructions necessary for candidates to complete the exam. I will maintain a professional and supportive testing environment. I may answer procedural questions or clarify exam wording, but I will not provide guidance, interpretation, hints, or assistance that could influence a candidate’s answers.
I will not assist candidates in answering exam questions in any form.
I will actively monitor the testing environment and will not permit cheating, collaboration, use of unauthorized materials, or any behavior that compromises the integrity of the examination.
Candidate Removal for Active Cheating
If I observe clear evidence of cheating or rule violations during an online examination, I will immediately terminate the exam, document the incident, and report it to the Piano Technicians Guild according to established procedures.
Confidentiality
I will protect the confidentiality of all examination materials and candidate responses at all times. I will not copy, distribute, photograph, record, or retain any exam content.
I will treat all candidates equally, follow established PTG testing protocols, and report results honestly and accurately.
I affirm that my role as an Authorized Written Examiner is to facilitate a fair and independent assessment of knowledge and competency, not to influence outcomes.
